Too Much Grist
So much, in fact, that I've had no time to post about it.
In short, there's been:
- The run-up to, and subsequent, 504 meeting (Man, was this ever grist-- I'm still shaking my head over this one... )
- Middle. School. Mania. (After many school vists, phone calls, orientations -- and much, much agonizing -- we've finally made a decision. And folks, Joseph will not be going to the school I wrote about here.)
- Lots of Little League Baseball (and one particular game that featured some pretty wonderful highs and one crushing low)
- A major scare with Evan-- one I just couldn't bring myself to write about
- Still more junk with my eyes (speaking of-- I go in for those follow-up tests today... )
- And finally-- Too. Much. Mulch.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with some recent snaps of the kids:
The Southpaw...
And the Ballerina

They are beautiful, Sandra.
I'm looking forward to updates. Good luck with your tests today. I'll be thinking of you.
Awesome pictures, awesome kids.
Sandra, you have only been giving us enough to make us worry like crazy. I hope all is ok.
Sending you strength and hugs.
Good luck with the tests and yeah, what Vivian said. Dammit, woman, the nerve of you, keeping us waiting. ;)
God, Evan is just delicious in that shot. And Joseph looks like he has a heck of an arm!
Sandra
Best of luck with your eye tests tomorrow.
When I had mine checked recently I needed an optical coherence tomography scan because of some retinal issues. I'm not looking forward to my visit in June.
I hope there's good news for you, and I'll be waiting to hear how it goes.
Those pictures brought a big smile to my face. What beautiful kids you have.
Sorry for all that's been going on with you lately. Hopefully, things will slow down soon and you'll be able to update us. I'm with Vivian, you've got me a little worried.
Always thinking of you.
Joseph looks like he's grown so much in the past 6 months!
Understandable. It's been nuts at my place too.
The ballerina shot is priceless.
Nicole,
As always-- thanks.
Vivian & Penny-
Sorry if this prompted worry-- we're okay (in fact, as of late yesterday, better than okay :-)
Yeah, there have been other stressors. (i.e., the 504 process has not been smooth. And, as I mentioned, we had a scare with Evan-- one that, so far, looks like a false alarm).
But we're all okay.
Julia-
Sorry for the wait-- tests were yesterday afternoon, went long, and I couldn't get onto the computer again til this morning...
Oh, and my boy does indeed have an arm-- five games into the season and his ERA is 0.
The kid's accuracy is not to be believed.
Bernard-
I hope your news in June is as good as mine was yesterday.
Sending positive thoughts...
Rachel-
You are so right-- Joseph has grown a bunch in the last six months!
And OTJ-
The girl puts on a tutu and I'm putty.
Your kids are the cutest :) Your daughter is such a little charmer.
I wish you all the luck with the tests. I know how scary it is from own experience.
